Jordan Rudess is of Jewish origin, born on November 4, 1956. From an early age he has shown interest in music. At the age of nine he entered the music school Julliard School Of Music. and take the piano instrument. Moving adolescence before adulthood, interest in rock music and synthesizers is very high although not addressed by parents and teachers private.
By the end of the 80's he had collaborated with a number of super group music projects, and in 1994 he was voted 'Best New Talent' by Keyboard Magazine magazine. This achievement made it a struggle for several bands, among them most wanted is The Dixie Dregs and Dream Theater. The auditions of both bands went through, but he chose The Dixie Dregs because it was only part time job during the tour, not full time like Dream Theater. At that time Rudess was going to marry.
Over at The Dixie Dregs, Rudess communicates well with drummer Rod Morgenstein. This is visible when they do the project, all the instruments die but only belong to Rudess and Morgenstein are lit, and they collaborate well. In the end Rudess was involved in the Rudess / Morgenstein Project project.
In 1997, Rudess together with John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy were joined in a supergroup by Mike Varney of Magna Charta Records with a Liquid Tension Experiment (LTE) project alongside bassist Tony Lenvin. This is also what makes Dream Theater increasingly want Rudess. Rudess has finally joined Dream Theater to date.
In Dream Theater, Rudess really improvises by mixing the progressive syinthesizer with classical piano, a combination of electronic strength and classical skill.
