We've been intermittently posting about the coming Soilwork album since the band hit the studio this April, but it's been mostly speculative stuff and updates on who the hell the new drummer is. Now frontman Björn "Speed" Strid tells United Rock Nations that the band is hoping to get the album out either late this year or early next year.
Strid also says the album is a mix between 2015's The Ride Majestic and 2013's double album The Living Infinite, which is a pretty tall order.
"And I'm really, really pleased with it — it's really, really cool. [It's] possibly the most epic and darkest album we've done. And it's also very melancholic, but it's also very sort of uplifting. It's huge. I'm really happy with it."
Personally, I think The Living Infinite is the best thing Soilwork ever did. So if Strid thinks the new stuff is on par with that, then sign me right up.
