Elon Musk said on Twitter late Monday that he worked for Goldman Sachs and Silver Lake as a financial adviser on the proposal to take private Tesla.
Musk also said that he worked with the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Munger and Tolles & Olson as legal counsel.
Goldman Sachs declined to comment. Silver Lake and both law firms did not respond immediately to comments.

Goldman Sachs has long been a key Advisor to Tesla, but the involvement of Silver Lake, known as a private equity firm, specializes in investing in technology that is attractive. Reuters reported the tweets that Silver Lake did not discuss involvement as an investor in the deal and "offers help for Musk without compensation and can not be hired as a financial advisor in an official capacity," a source quoted.

On August 7, Musk tweeted, "I'm considering taking private Tesla for $ 420. Financing is guaranteed."
Since the announcement of Musk last week, details about the deal are rare.

He said:

The full details of the funding source are given before someone is asked to make a private decision, but it is "premature" to share the information, Musk said.
