Before he reportedly died at the age of 49, the life of actress ER Vanessa Marquez was full and high.
Marquez, who appeared for three seasons in a long-term medical drama like Nurse Wendy Goldman, is reportedly known as a 49-year-old woman who said she was shot and killed by police in South Pasadena, California, late Thursday.
Marquez's name and age was passed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department - who ordered an investigation into the arrest of the official involved - but a spokesman told PEOPLE he could not confirm it as an actor who appeared in ER, Melrose Place, Stand and Deliver and film and TV projects others.
According to L.A. Times, Hollywood Journalists and other news, that is the same Marquez.
The actor was reportedly killed after a welfare check in an apartment complex for someone "who may have a medical condition," according to a sheriff official.
The police claimed that the woman "became invalid" and "seemed unable to hold back."
The woman was shot around 1:48 a.m. after he was accused of "arming himself" with a BB gun and directing him to officials, according to a sheriff's official, reported by Pasadenan Selatan. He was born dead at 2:36 a.m. in regional hospitals, according to the department of the sheriff and coroner spokesman.

TV and film careers
Marquez starred in ER for the first three seasons from 1994 to 1997.
Prior to that, he acted in the 1988 drama and Stand and Deliver as well as the Seinfeld TV series (1992), Melrose Place (1994) and later Malcolm & Eddie (1999).
The actor also appeared at the Intervention, which showed "people who are addicted to drugs, alcohol or compulsive behavior have brought them to the brink of collapse and have destroyed their families and friends," according to A & E.
