NEW YORK - So great Venus and Serena Williams in tennis, is the fact that Serena is a better brother.
The 30th installment of their career competition aims to lure fans Friday night at the US Open. But it turns out it's all about Serena, because she won easily even though she had to have ankles recorded during the first set.
Victory 6-1, 6-2 accelerated Serena's dominance over her older brother, aged 18-12, since they started playing 20 years ago.
"It's not easy, he is my best friend and he means the world to me," Serena 36 told the audience after Venus, 38, left the court after 72 minutes. "He supports me, and I support him. Every time he loses, I feel I lost too, but we all know that there is more to life than tennis.

"I like him with all my heart and because he is here, and Jehovah," Serena added. "After God, I owe him everything."
Serena brings mental benefits to Venus, which occurs during their meeting to continue to support Serena. As talented as Venus - he has won seven Grand Slam titles - Serena is better in every aspect of the game.
Serena, who heads Venus 11-5 in a Grand Slam match, has won nine of their last 11 meetings, taking part in the 2009 semifinals in Miami.
"I think this is the best match he has played against me," Venus said. "I don't think I made a lot of mistakes, but he just did everything well. Congratulations that level is sure where he wants to stay in the whole tournament.
"He played really well, I never touched the ball when his opponent played like that, it wasn't really something to be disappointed. The only thing I could do was put the first shot. He hit a bigger shot, not much I can do it. "
Serena's third round victory showed how far she had come since she returned from maternity leave at Indian Wells in March. Williams stepped up from the tour after he won the 23rd Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January 2017 during pregnancy. His daughter, Alexis Olympia, was born a year ago on Saturday.
Venus had won her last match in the third round at Indian Wells, but Serena faced a long stop at that time.
The history of the sisters shows that whoever wins the first set tends to win the match and it happens again Friday night to the 26th in 30 meetings.
