LANSING EAST - Things that are not easy to do. 12 Michigan State.
The State of Utah, which is like the Spartan back almost all the beginning, gave MSU the first half of the Spartan Stadium. The Aggies lead a long-term opening from two legs, but quarterback Brian Lewerke threw a pair of goals, including one with 28 seconds before the first half, to put the Spartans ahead of 20-14 at the break.
Here are some observations:
• PROFESSIONAL NOTIFICATIONS: Lewerke has guided MSU's mistakes to two points, completing 13 of 19 operands for 190.
Junior showed some good touches in the fit, including a 40-yarder to Cody White in the attacking game for both the Spartan and 28-yarder for Felton Davis in the next possession. However, both drivers ended with goals after Lewerke was fired.
Lewerke also escaped from LJ Scott in the last match. Senior has two arrests for 52 meters, one on a temporary bubble screen flanked and another traditional screen coming out of the backfield.
In the second quarter, after what was led by Lewerke, he was redeemed by searching for White behind the last zone for an 8-yard touch. Then in the semifinals, driving where Lewerke also ran 16 meters, he hurried and threw a pass to Felton Davis in the back corner for an 11-yard score to give the MSU head to the dressing room.
• BIG LINE ERRORS: Lewerke sees a lot of pressure by overcoming the remaining Cole Chewins. Luke Campbell, Chewins' successor, has been beaten several times from the edge, but he also threw a key block at TD at the end of the match after the man ran around him.
Scott fought early to find his rhythm, earning 23 yards in the first nine before taking some steam later in the second quarter. He set the blockbuster on the screen to pass to a 32-meter advantage to set the second MSU goal.
The State of Utah has three bags at rest.
MSU has used Chewins and Tyler Higby, which starts in the middle, to fill Chewins in the left hand grip. Jordan Reid starts with the right grip.
• SECURITY SECURITY: Violations committed by the State of Utah have given Spartan the issue of opening guidance.
The Jordan Love Quarterback is 4 to 4 for 68 meters in possession of the first game, then runs in the first score of 1 page out. Both students attacked the security of the initial MSU Khari Willis.
However, Willis graduated later half - thanks to the QB shock by DE Jacub Panasiuk - to set up the first touch drive of MSU.
Love is 14 from 21 to 181 kilometers in half.
• KICKER FOUND: Cole Hahn's freshman redshirt seems to have won the initial job for MSU, one of the open positions that goes into the season.
After defending Tyler Hunt in the Prainason camp, Hahn launched three direct touches to begin his college career. The fourth goes to the goal line.
